It was nice to see Dr. Michael Kanter on ABC7’s news Friday, December 4th, 2015 as one of the volunteer dentists to help out with the Wellness Dental Project.

Imagine if you will, that you are a child between the ages of 4 and 12, you may have never been to the dentist, and English may be your second language.
Now picture a room filled with kids getting their teeth done and it doesn’t cost a penny.
School age migrant children with limited access to dental care who are enrolled in the Manatee County School District’s Migrant Program received free dental care on Friday December 4th, from Manatee Technical College, students in the dental assistant program, local dentists and hygienists.
The Passport for Wellness Dental Project relies on local dentists and hygienists performing their work pro-bono.
Tropicana is a sponsor of the project and supplied transportation and lunch for the kids.
